Yakutia Technopark Tops Russia's Regional Startup Support
Yakutia Technopark, established in 2012, has been recognised as one of the top regional startup support practices in Russia. Led by Evgeniy Mikhailov, the park has fostered the growth of 485 resident entrepreneurs who have created around 4,000 jobs and paid 1.8 billion rubles in taxes.
The park's focus on solving societal and economic tasks for Yakutia has borne fruit. Resident entrepreneurs have achieved a turnover of 17.7 billion rubles and attracted 2.1 billion rubles in investments. Notably, several companies have swiftly started producing goods for soldiers since the start of the SVO.
The Yakutia Technopark's infrastructure is extensive. It includes the IT Park, a biolaboratory, Regional Engineering Center, Artificial Intelligence Laboratory, and UAV Laboratory. The latter is creating the Polar Science and Production Center for testing new technologies, developing, and producing unmanned aerial vehicles, and training personnel for the industry.
The Yakutia Technopark's success has placed it among the top three regional business incubators in Russia, alongside those in St. Petersburg and Novosibirsk. Its impact on the local economy and society is evident, with resident entrepreneurs contributing significantly to the region's development.
