Job Description
As an Administrative Assistant, you will manage daily administrative tasks, coordinate the volunteer journey process, and provide administrative support. Your duties will include handling inbound calls, performing accurate data entry, and maintaining records/databases. Additionally, you will assist with planning and organizing community and charity events, support fundraising and philanthropic initiatives, and reception duties.
The role also involves drafting and managing documentation such as donation acknowledgments and internal guides. You may occasionally support specific program operations or serve senior staff as a personal assistant. The use of software tools relevant to nonprofit operations, such as Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and Raiser's Edge, is expected.
Requirements
Ideal candidates will have proven experience in administrative or clerical roles, strong organizational skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and/or Google Workspace. Familiarity with basic office equipment and phone systems is essential. For some roles, bilingual skills may be an advantage. A college education may be required or preferred, and the ability to adapt and willingness to learn new skills is a must.
