During his IDAS training at the National Academy of Defence Financial Management Institute (NADFM), he made a third attempt at the UPSC CSE in 2020 and emerged victorious as the AIR-1.
In the 2020 UPSC examination, Shubham scored an overall 1,054 marks, with 878 marks in the written examination and 176 marks in the interview or personality test, as per UPSC data. He topped the exam with a score of 52.04%, with the second-place finisher, Jagrati Awasthi, securing 51.95% marks.
Shubham's educational background laid a strong foundation for his future ambitions. Upon his graduation from IIT Bombay, his dedication and strategic preparation for the UPSC examinations ultimately led to his remarkable success.
