Telegram Expands in Kazakhstan, Launches AI Lab, Joins Astana Hub

Telegram has expanded its presence in Kazakhstan, establishing an AI research lab and joining Astana Hub. The company aims to integrate AI with blockchain technology and utilise the country's supercomputer cluster for decentralised AI computing.

Telegram's founder, Pavel Durov, met with Kazakhstan's President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev at the Digital Bridge 2025 forum. During the meeting, they discussed potential collaborations in education, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity. Impressed by Telegram's commitment, Tokayev praised the company's support for Kazakhstan's digital agenda development.

Telegram has launched AI laboratories at AIem.Ai and officially joined Astana Hub. This move has allowed the company to open an office in Kazakhstan, further strengthening its ties with the country.

Telegram's new AI research lab in Kazakhstan signals the company's dedication to advancing AI technology in the region. By utilising Kazakhstan's supercomputer cluster, Telegram aims to push the boundaries of decentralised AI computing, potentially revolutionising the industry.
