Summer Program Concludes Successfully at KILAW London Branch

The Kuwait International Law School (KILAW) has concluded its second annual summer program in London, marking another successful edition of the educational initiative. The program, held in collaboration with the University of Essex, took place at the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies at the University of London.

The three-week program offered participants a unique and enriching educational experience, with a focus on specialized legal courses. The curriculum included European Union Law, Islamic Financial Transactions, and E-Commerce Law, providing students with a comprehensive understanding of these crucial subjects from both Kuwaiti and UK legal perspectives.

The international mix of participants fostered academic exchange and offered exposure to a variety of educational and cultural perspectives. The program attracted diverse student participation, including students from the University of Warwick, in addition to KILAW students and non-degree students from Kuwait and abroad.

The program featured high-profile field visits, most notably to the UK Supreme Court, offering students a first-hand look at the workings of the British legal system. Distinguished guest speakers also contributed to the program, providing valuable insights into current legal challenges and trends.

A special event was a lecture on Kuwaiti-British relations, while another highlighted a meeting with Kuwait's Ambassador to the UK, Bader Al-Munaikh. A legal lecture was co-delivered by Dr. Ali Al-Zumai and Dr. Al-Muqate'i, adding to the program's educational richness.

Dr. Dana Al-Duaij, who supervised the London Summer Program, noted that students responded with great enthusiasm. She also emphasized the program's transformative effect on students, enhancing their academic and analytical skills and offering them a valuable window into the world of international legal education.

Dr. Mohammed Al-Muqate'i, President of KILAW, expressed pride in the program's continued growth and success. He noted that the program built on the success of last year's inaugural edition, demonstrating KILAW's commitment to providing high-quality legal education.
