Students in Kassel Master Online Job Interview Training

Students in Kassel have benefited from an innovative online job interview training programme, 'Zukunft weben – Tejiendo futuro', run by Visiones e.V. The project, despite initial technical hurdles, was deemed successful and will continue next year. Interested parties can contact coordinator Brigitte Vogler for details.

Eleven experienced mentors from various fields acted as sparring partners for students from BÜA classes at vocational schools in Region Kassel. Over three weeks, students could book online job interviews with fictional companies via a booking portal. Following each interview, feedback and tips for further job application activities were provided.

The project, organised by Berufspatenprojekt in cooperation with Jugendberufshilfe and Handwerkskammer Kassel, involved seven vocational schools from the city. Despite some missed appointments and technical difficulties, the overall conclusion from mentors was positive: 'everyone learned a lot and it was fun too'.

The 'Zukunft weben – Tejiendo futuro' project has successfully prepared students for job interviews. The Berufspatenprojekt is now seeking more life and work-experienced volunteers to mentor young people starting their working lives, ensuring the project's continued success.
