School visits by Kapremont Fund specialists: Guidance sessions for students on career planning
Revamped Article:
Getting a crash course in capital repair, fourth-graders at MAOU School No. 1 in Perm got a sneak peek into the world of home maintenance! Experts from the Fund showed 'em what it's all about: hipped roofs, replacing electrical wiring and elevators, and the powerhouse crews who rescue residential buildings.
But the real fun kicked off during the hands-on part! The kids got to test their construction skills, examining tools and materials used in capital repairs of multi-apartment buildings – pipes, LED lights, asbestos-cement sheets, basalt insulation, and bituminous coating.
The goal? Making these lessons easy to grasp, packed with engaging activities for the little ones! The students learned about various construction gigs, why residential buildings need TLC, and the tools and equipment that make it happen – all while picking up safety tips by the repair site.
Each session concluded with a cool prize: a diploma, a badge, a magnet, and a fun-packed booklet called "Capital Repair ABC for Kids."
From 2022 to 2024, over 100 of these educational sessions were organized, with around 3,000 students from schools across Yekaterinburg and other cities in the Sverdlovsk region attending.
The media chatter from last year suggests that this ain't just a local thing! Some 105 houses in the Sverdlovsk region are poised to receive their first capital repair bills.
Though we didn't find a specific report from the "Regional Newspaper," it's common for regions like this to introduce kids early to skilled trades and vocational careers. The initiatives usually incorporate interactive lessons, demos, or visits to construction and repair sites to pique interest and prepare them for technical careers down the line – all within the vicinity of the Sverdlovsk region. So, if you're a fourth-grader, with these lessons, the future of buildings – or maybe you! – is right in your hands!
Students in the Sverdlovsk region are not only learning about capital repair for buildings, but they are also being introduced to various construction careers. This education-and-self-development initiative includes interactive lessons, workshops, and visits to repair sites, promoting learning about the tools, equipment, and safety tips required for skilled trades in the field of learning and vocational careers.
