The We Are Moving The Needle scholarship, aimed at supporting women, non-binary, and trans individuals in music production and related fields, is now open for applications. This initiative, designed to break down industry barriers and drive lasting cultural change, offers scholarships, mentorship, research, and advocacy.

The scholarship is targeted at women, non-binary, and trans creators who face disproportionate barriers in the recording industry. Candidates should be individuals looking to grow their skills in production, engineering, and music-related disciplines.
Application Process and Benefits
Scholarships are offered in partnership with programs like Mix With The Masters’ ReBalance initiative, providing access to high-level seminars and masterclasses led by renowned producers and engineers. Recipients may receive fully-funded or partial scholarships to attend intensive on-site seminars or masterclasses.
To apply, interested individuals should submit their applications through the associated music education program's application portals, such as Mix With The Masters for ReBalance. The application process typically requires proof of identity and eligibility, a portfolio or demonstration of involvement in music production or related fields, a statement of intent or motivation, and possibly references or recommendations.

- Applications for the scholarship must be submitted by Sunday, November 3, 2024, at midnight.
- The music tracks should be original and created by the applicant as the sole music producer. Each track must be at least 2 minutes in length and in a standard audio format of WAV, AIF, or MP.
- The Entrance Evaluation includes two music content submissions, which must be provided as URL links to downloadable files.
- The scholarship announcement will be made on Monday, January 13, 2025.
