Get ready, folks! The unstoppable Mick Brisgau, aka Henning Baum (52), is back in action! Production for the continuation of "The Last Cop" has officially started, and we're beyond excited. Sat.1 announced the good news, and this time around, the enigmatic Ruhrpott cop will be facing fresh challenges with his signature tenacity.

Mick Brisgau's comeback promises an intriguing tale where he returns to Essen "without a badge or gun, but with an unyielding fighting spirit." This detective, once considered lost and dead, will once again have to "fight his way back into life," tackling both personal and professional obstacles.

Prime Video is partnering with Sat.1 to bring you eight thrilling new episodes set in the gritty streets of Essen. The exact content of these episodes and details about the returning cast have yet to be shared, but we're sure they'll keep us on the edge of our seats.

Returning Stars and New Faces

In addition to the veteran Henning Baum, some familiar faces will grace our screens again. Maximilian Grill (48) is set to return as Mick's conscientious counterpart, Andreas Kringge. Helmfried von Lüttichau (68) will reprise his role as Martin Ferchert, the head of the homicide department, and Tatjana Clasing (61) will return as Uschi Nowatzki, the owner of Mick's favorite pub.

Robert Lohr (57) is set to reprise his role as the forensic pathologist, Roland Meisner. Joining the cast will be Carolin Berger (Peri Baumeister, born 1986), described as a "self-assured colleague" with a potential to stir up some drama. Her marriage to the determined state prosecutor, Ralf Berger, played by Torben Liebrecht (47), will undoubtedly experience twists and turns.

The eight-episode series is expected to premiere in the second half of 2025, first appearing on Prime Video before making its way to Sat.1 with double episodes four weeks later. After that, the episodes will be available on Joyn.
