Quang Tri's Transformative Urban Projects and New Airport Set to Boost Economy
Quang Tri province is set for a significant transformation with three major urban development projects and a new airport. The provincial People's Committee, led by Tran Phong, has attracted investments to drive growth and improve connectivity.
The largest project, the 212-hectare Dong Hoi Central Mixed-Use Urban Area, is designed as a sustainable eco-city with over 60 hectares dedicated to green spaces. It aims to elevate the urban landscape and ensure convenient access to key facilities.
The 276-hectare Nhat Le Coastal Mixed-Use Urban Area will be a leisure and entertainment hub inspired by Dubai's desert oases. Meanwhile, the 291-hectare Le Ky River Western Mixed-Use Urban Area will be a modern riverside city hub with vibrant cultural, commercial, and entertainment complexes.
Sun Group, led by Dang Minh Truong, is behind these projects, marking a new development cycle for Quang Tri. The group aims to transform the province into a premier national and international entertainment destination with world-class resorts and entertainment complexes.
Quang Tri is also set to boost its economy with nearly 200 projects registered in its industrial parks. Additionally, work on a $232 million airport will begin in 2026, further establishing Quang Tri as an important connection point in economic corridors.
With these ambitious projects, Quang Tri is poised for significant growth and development. The province's efforts to attract investment and improve infrastructure are expected to pay off, transforming Quang Tri into a thriving economic hub and a premier destination for visitors.
