Over 200 thousand countryside children to gain access to contemporary educational institutions

Kazakhstan embarks on a significant educational endeavor, known as the National Project "Comfortable School," aiming to construct modern Learning Institutions across the country. Led by the Head of State, this project endeavors to build 217 schools, designed for over 460,000 students, by the end of 2025.

The initiative objectives encompass upgrading schools' material and technical infrastructure, fostering creative and intellectual development, and ensuring equal educational opportunities regardless of geographical location. Approximately half of these new schools will be erected in rural areas, offering modern, comfortable learning environments to over 200,000 rural children.

Minister of Education Ganı Beısembaev has emphasized the crucial role these schools play in elevating the average national education level and bridging the gap between rural and urban schools. Beısembaev proposes naming the new schools "Keleşek mektepteri," symbolizing their purpose as future-oriented institutions dedicated to offering equal opportunities for children across Kazakhstan.

One of the project's advantages lies in providing comfortable and ergonomic educational spaces tailored to meet children's needs. These schools are 15-20% larger than typical buildings, equipped with four times the standard technical equipment, modern furniture, teaching equipment, enhanced security measures, and separate blocks for students from different grades. Additionally, there is a priority on fostering domestic production, as all construction materials, school furniture, and necessary equipment are sourced exclusively from Kazakhstani producers.

The project spans all regions of Kazakhstan and encompasses schools in urban and rural areas, such as Arkalyk, Rudny, and Kushmurun village in the Kostanay region. Notable examples include the commissioning of four schools in the Kostanay region with a combined capacity of 3,300 students. Other schools under construction include a "comfortable school" for 900 students in Rudny and another for 300 students in Kushmurun village, with additional general education schools planned to accommodate over 3,200 students by the end of 2025.

The new schools will boast advanced facilities like robotics rooms, STEM laboratories, digital libraries, music rooms, sports sections, and creative and scientific clubs, while also focusing on inclusive education to accommodate diverse learners. The project marks a decisive step in modernizing Kazakhstan's general education infrastructure, substantially reducing overcrowding and setting new educational standards nationwide.
