Notable Achievements of Results Day 2025

In a remarkable display of academic excellence, the class of 2025 at Notre Dame has achieved outstanding results in their Level 3 qualifications. The students have secured high grades across A-levels, BTECs, CTECs, and T Levels, setting a new standard for future cohorts.

The A-level results were particularly impressive, with a pass rate of 99% and an impressive 1,496 high grades (A-B). A staggering 699 students were awarded A and A grades, demonstrating the exceptional calibre of Notre Dame's students.

In the vocational sector, students also shone, with 544 high grades (D*-M) achieved in BTECs and CTECs. Notably, 100% of students in specific courses like BTEC Applied Science, Digital Games Design, Acting, Law, and CTEC Sport achieved high grades.

The success did not stop there. An impressive 11 students secured places at Oxford or Cambridge, an achievement supported by Notre Dame’s Enhancing Excellence programme. This programme provides specialized support such as mock interviews and application help for high-achieving students aiming for top universities.

Other university destinations include prestigious institutions like King’s College London, University of Warwick, University of Leeds, University of Manchester, University of Liverpool, and University of York. Several students also pursued degree apprenticeships or gap years, demonstrating varied successful pathways.

Taren Patel, a promising student, was accepted into Medicine at the University of Edinburgh, while Amelia Bergrin was accepted into Biomedical Sciences at the University of Oxford. Fanta Sanneh will undertake a Leeds Teaching Hospital Apprenticeship as a Senior Radiology Assistant, and Joe Crown was accepted into Medicine and Surgery at Newcastle University.

Mikolaj Oledzki, a Leeds Rhinos rugby team player and Notre Dame alumnus, will also be starting a degree at Leeds Beckett University. The university spoke with students who have confirmed offers to study there in September 2025, offering final advice and free hoodies to help them prepare for the next stage of their lives.

Notre Dame Principal, Justine Barlow, stated that the students' achievements reflect the support of parents, carers, and staff. She expressed her pride in the students and their hard work, stating that they are confident to continue thriving in the next stage of their lives.

The overall outcomes across Level 3 qualifications (A-levels, BTECs/CTECs, T Levels) are characterized as outstanding. However, specific quantitative success rates for T Levels were not reported. Regardless, the inclusion of T Levels in these outstanding overall results is a promising sign for the future of vocational education at Notre Dame.

In September 2025, Notre Dame will welcome new T Level students on courses Media, Broadcasting and Production, and Legal Services. As the students prepare for this exciting new chapter, they can look back on their outstanding achievements with pride.
