Fashion Design and Architecture Faculty Shine at International Forums

Delivering Performances and Presenting Papers

Shubhankar Goswami, Lecturer in Interior Architecture & Design, delivered a performance lecture at RITES, the Annual festival of the Sociology Department held on 10th April 2023 at Department of Sociology, Hindu College, University of Delhi. Goswami's talk focused on the narrative of movement in Indian Architecture.

In the realm of fashion design, Saumya Pande, Course Leader and Professor, co-authored and presented a paper titled 'Crafting the Indian Fashionscape': The Age of the Enabler' at an international conference at National Institute of Fashion Technology. Pande also co-authored a research paper titled "Classrooms And Cohorts In Courtyards and Beyond" with Richa Sood.

Pande's colleague, Anupama Datt, Assistant Professor of Fashion Design, presented a paper titled 'Punjab Textiles - Beyond Phulkari' at an international conference at Textiles & Clothing Research Centre (TCRC), New Delhi, India.

The Responsible Fashion Series

The fashion design faculty members' presentations were part of The Responsible Fashion Series - The Silk Roads Journey, originating from the Fashion Colloquia collection of events founded by four institutions: London College of Fashion, Parsons school of Fashion and Design in New York, IFM, Paris and Domus from Milan.

Exploring Information Literacy and Visual Literacy

Anshoo Rajvanshi, Associate Professor of Foundation in Design, presented a paper titled 'Nurturing Information Literacy and Visual Literacy amongst Design Students using Constructivist Approach' at the 9th International Conference on Research Into Design at Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, India. Rajvanshi also conducted a workshop on 'Conceptual Pathfinder' at the same conference.

Identity in the Post-Pandemic World

Shipra Kukreja and Ginu George co-authored a research paper titled "Identity in the Post Pandemic World". The paper delves into the changes in identity in the aftermath of the pandemic.

Architecture and Indic Architecture

Rashim Mahajan, Associate Professor of Interior Architecture Design, was featured in 'Kuch Lamhe Fursat Ke' episode that aired on DD Urdu's YouTube channel on April 20, 2023. Snehanshu Mukherjee, Course Leader and Professor of Interior Architecture Design, participated in 'Reviving Practice of Indic Architecture - From Libraries to laboratories' conclave at Department of Heritage Science and Technology, IIT-Hyderabad on April 22, 2023.

International Participation
