In the heart of Germany, the city of Gütersloh is expanding its workforce with the onboarding of 45 young individuals for new career roles in 2025. The city's head, Mayor Matthias Trepper, extended a warm welcome to these new hires during a recent ceremony.
The new careers span various sectors, including administration, IT, education, emergency services, and the fire department. The city is proud to provide 45 new career opportunities to young individuals, reflecting its commitment to comprehensive and qualified training.
Mayor Trepper addressed the entire administration, stating that the new hires are joining a large team of over 1,700 employees. He encouraged the new recruits to approach their tasks with joy, motivation, and a willingness to engage.
The induction week provides the new colleagues with an opportunity to get to know the city administration and its fields of work, receive important information for their daily work, and make initial contacts with each other.
The new career starters include ten dual students in the Bachelor of Laws (General Administrative Service), two students in the Bachelor of Arts (Administrative Informatics), three apprentices for administrative specialists, and one specialist in system integration.
Mayor Trepper congratulated the new career starters on making it in a strong field of applicants. He emphasised the importance of the new hires, stating that they are crucial to the city's continued success.
