Infrastructure Fund Expansion to Boost Bavaria's Schools, Kindergartens, Housing, and Transportation
The Bavarian Green Party is advocating for an allocation of billions from the national infrastructure package to fund initiatives in schools, kindergartens, affordable housing, public transportation, and green urban development. Approximately 3 billion euros are set aside for investments in railways, bridges, and electric charging infrastructure. These funds could support the reactivation of railway lines or the electrification of tracks.
Schulze stressed the importance of limiting the use of the special fund to infrastructure projects. She cautioned against misappropriating the money for partisan or favoritism projects, vowing to monitor the allocated funds' distribution closely.
