Laugh and Learn: Regensburg's Unique Scam Awareness Event
Regensburg County Administration is hosting a unique event to combat the rising tide of scams. On October 24, 2025, cabaret artist Tom Bauer and police officer Matthias Bräutigam will present 'Ned mit mir!' at Gymnasium Lappersdorf's auditorium. The free event aims to inform and entertain, with a focus on protecting residents from fraud attempts like the 'grandchild trick' and 'shock calls'.
County Administrator Tanja Schweiger stresses the importance of awareness and prevention. She says, 'Scams are becoming more sophisticated, and we need to stay one step ahead.' The event is organized by the county administration and supported by Sparkasse Regensburg.
Tom Bauer, known for his humorous and musical style, will team up with Officer Bräutigam to make learning about scams enjoyable. The Police Inspectorate Regenstauf will also be present, offering a booth for personal questions and tips. The performance begins at 4 pm, with admission 30 minutes prior. Registration is required due to limited seating, and can be done with Mrs. García Jociles via phone or email.
