Leyla Lahouar Regrets Unable Participation in 'Let's Dance' Competition - Lack of Competitiveness for Leyla Lahouar

Leyla Lahouar's initial "Let's Dance" performance left room for improvement, but unfortunately, her journey on the show takes an unexpected turn. The 28-year-old reality TV contender, hit by a sore throat and cough, has been benched by the doctors' orders. RTL announced this setback through a heartfelt video message from Lahouar herself.

"Got some bummer news, folks. I'm out of the competition this Friday," she shared, her disappointment palpable. Her doctor advised her against any physical activity, citing her disturbing symptoms, such as a persistent cough, severe sore throat, and excessive sweating.

Lahouar's feelings of remorse are evident. "I'm truly sorry, especially for Sergiu. I've been in tears for the past two days due to my sadness," she mentioned, referring to her partner, Sergiu Maruster, who is making his debut in the show.

Unfortunately, there's no stand-in for Lahouar on the "Let's Dance" floor. She had been eagerly anticipating the first live show, especially given her satisfaction with the rehearsed dance. "I was quite hopeful that it would turn out fantastic. So, the fact that I can't perform this dance I absolutely loved is all the more disheartening," she shared.

This weekend's "Let's Dance" show will feature 13 pairs instead of 14, due to Lahouar's absence. At the end of the show, one pair will still be bidding farewell. Tune in to RTL at 8:15 PM and RTL+ to watch the spectacle unfold. Taliso Engel, the Paralympic swimmer, has already clinched a spot in the second live show with his partner, Patricija Ionel, despite the direct ticket[1].

Lahouar's disappointing news was shared in an RTL video message, with the RTL platform being the platform that announced her absence from the "Let's Dance" competition due to doctor's orders and health issues. Her absence means that the Paralympic-themed show will feature 13 pairs instead of 14, with Taliso Engel and Patricija Ionel securing a spot in the second live show regardless. Despite her sore throat and persistent cough, Lahouar's dance routine was one she was particularly proud of, which makes her absence even more heartbreaking.
