Joint funding secured for WICM GmbH's scholarships in collaboration with IHK Wiesbaden
WiesPaten Partners with IHK Wiesbaden to Empower Young People
The WiesPaten project, a unique initiative aimed at fostering educational and personal development in young people, has entered a significant partnership with the IHK Wiesbaden. This collaboration is set to provide valuable mentorship and guidance to pupils, while offering sponsoring companies like WICM an insight into the thoughts and motivations of today's youth.
The WiesPaten project, now in its 15th year, has been making a tangible impact on the lives of young people. By offering intensive small group lessons and personal encounters with mentors, it has been instrumental in enhancing the future prospects of many. The project also extends beyond academic support, offering a variety of activities that cater to the holistic development of the participants.
The IHK Wiesbaden, a long-standing supporter of WiesPaten, has taken on its first patronage as part of this partnership. The commitment of the IHK Wiesbaden is seen as another important building block for creating equal opportunities and reaching young people where they are on their individual journeys.
The partnership has resulted in regular meetings between students, student teachers, and employees of the two patron institutions. These meetings facilitate knowledge transfer, academic support, and social activities, with shared experiences being a central focus of WiesPaten.
The benefits of this partnership are far-reaching. For the pupils, it provides them with concrete assistance and guidance, helping to shape their educational and career choices. For the student mentors, it offers a chance to give back and gain valuable insights into the real-world applications of their studies. For the sponsoring companies, it provides a platform for corporate social responsibility and a chance to engage with the next generation of talent.
Mayor Christiane Hinninger has expressed her support for the partnership, stating that it is beneficial for students, engaged students, and the patron company. Sabine Meder, CEO of the IHK Wiesbaden, has emphasized that supporting young people is part of their institution's DNA.
