Irish Tech Challenge South Africa Offers EUR10K Grants & Ireland Trip to Startups

The Irish Tech Challenge South Africa is now open for applications, inviting local startups to participate in an initiative that supports innovation aligned with the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Seven successful startups will each receive a EUR10,000 (US$11,000) grant, along with a 10-day trip to Ireland for networking and business acceleration. The challenge, set for 2024, is backed by the Department of Science and Innovation, Technology Innovation Agency, and the Embassy of Ireland in South Africa.

The initiative aims to foster collaborations between Irish and South African startups, with the support of Wits University's Tshimologong Digital Precinct and Dogpatch Labs. It encourages startups in clean and green technology, healthcare, education, and water sanitation and hygiene to apply. The application deadline is April 26th.

The Irish Tech Challenge South Africa offers a significant opportunity for local startups to grow and expand their reach. Successful applicants will gain financial support, international exposure, and valuable networking opportunities, all while contributing to the UN's SDGs.
