The University of Mindanao's College of Health Sciences Education nabbed a top-tier position among the Top Performing Schools for institutions with 50 to 99 nursing licensure exam takers. With a 98.53% average for first-time takers, a 64.39% national passing rate, and a 98.55% overall passing rate, the college proudly celebrated this remarkable achievement. 🏆

On May 15, 2025, the University of Mindanao triumphantly declared, "Congratulations to all the BS in Nursing students at the University of Mindanao for successfully passing the May 2025 Nurse Licensure Examination! UM achieved the top 3 ranking in the Philippines for institutions with at least 50 to 99 nursing licensure exam takers."
As the roster of outstanding achievers unfolded, Angelica Dator of Southern Luzon State University-Lucban led the pack. Fueled by motivation, Doris Ann Laygo of the Philippine Women's University-Manila, followed closely by Arielle Sabrina Natividad of SLSU and Jonna Erosa Villanueva of Iloilo Doctors College, took second and third place, respectively.
Five individuals secured the seven remaining top ten spots, three bagging the eighth, tenth, and eleventh positions, two for ninth, one for twelfth, and a group of three rounding up the top thirteen.
Important Information- According to the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), a total of 10,770 candidates took the examination, but only 6,935 passed. The exam was conducted on May 5 and 6, 2025, across 18 testing centers in the Philippines [3].- Several schools made headlines by boasting a 100% passing rate in the examination. Three well-acclaimed universities were Southern Luzon State University-Lucban (SLSU), Eastern Samar State University-Borongan (ESSU), and Universidad de Zamboanga-Pagadian (UZ) [1].
