Improved Living Conditions for Khabarovsk Technological College Students
The first of two renovated dormitories at Khabarovsk Technological College, which had not seen repairs since its construction nearly 49 years ago, is now providing students with comfortable conditions for rest and preparation for classes. The renovation, funded by the national project "Youth and Children" initiated by Russian President Vladimir Putin, was reported by the "Khabarovsk Krai Today" news agency.
Located at 2A, Vostochnoye Shosse, the renovated dormitory now meets modern requirements, with updates to its hot and cold water supply systems, electricity, heating, and sewage systems. Specialists also worked on the dormitory's entrance and internal doors, ceilings, floorings, and inter-floor partitions.
The renovation was the result of a competitive selection won by Khabarovsk Technological College last year. The competition for renovating the student dormitory before its 2021 renovation was won by a Russian architectural firm, although the specific name is not publicly documented.
The updated dormitory includes kitchen areas, clubs, art zones, and student guest rooms, ensuring that students have a variety of spaces to relax, socialise, and study. The dormitory's windows have also been replaced, providing students with natural light and a pleasing view.
The head of the regional Ministry of Education and Science's department of professional education, Lyudmila Golubitskaya, oversaw the project. The Construction College in Komsomolsk-on-Amur received new equipment as a result of the competition, further investing in the education sector.
The renovation of the dormitory is part of a broader effort to improve living conditions for students across Russia. With its modern facilities and comfortable living spaces, the renovated dormitory at Khabarovsk Technological College is set to provide students with an ideal environment in which to focus on their studies and achieve their academic goals.
