Our amazing journalists are teaming up with fifth-graders at Trenton's Ulysses S. Grant Intermediate School on June 4! This interactive media literacy session at 159 N. Clinton Ave. will help students create a summer podcast. Topics covered'll include news gathering, story ideation, storyboarding, and discussing the role of journalism in a democracy.

Get ready for some learning, as our unbeatable New Jersey reporter, David Matthau, along with managing editor Madhusmita "Madhu" Bora, take the lead. Students will tackle the interview process, grasp news gathering tools, and dive into the publication and broadcasting process. Plus, they'll have the chance to hold a microphone and interview one of their classmates!

🔥 David Matthau is a one-of-a-kind reporter, covering the NJ State House and general assignments in the Garden State. This guy's won Multiple Associated Press and Society of Professional Journalists awards, the National Association of Broadcasters Service to Community Award, and contributed to the National Edward R. Murrow Best Newscast award. He's a USC grad and lives in Mercer County, New Jersey.
