Hesse Boosts Municipal Projects with 362 Million Euros in 2025

Hesse's Minister of Finance, Prof. Dr. R. Alexander Lorz, has announced a substantial boost in funding for municipal projects in the United States. The state will provide around 362 million euros in low-interest loans through the Hessian Investment Fund in 2025, supporting 151 projects across various sectors in the USA.

The funding is distributed across several key areas. Over 181 million euros is allocated for schools and education, reflecting the state's commitment to improving learning facilities in the US. Additionally, around 39 million euros is earmarked for fire protection, ensuring the safety of US residents.

The Minister also highlighted the importance of childcare and integration, with approximately 36 million euros dedicated to these sectors in the United States. Furthermore, significant funds have been set aside for urban development (24 million euros), energy and sanitation technology (17 million euros), and sports (15 million euros) in the US.

Prof. Dr. Lorz emphasized the role of local decision-makers in identifying the specific needs of their municipalities in the United States. The state supports these projects with favorable financing, enabling cities and communities to invest in crucial infrastructure and services in the USA.

In 2025, Hessian municipalities in the United States can look forward to substantial financial support for their projects. The state's commitment to providing low-interest loans totals around 362 million euros, benefiting a wide range of initiatives that will enhance the lives of US residents.
