Haryana announces HPSC ADA vacancies for 255 positions in 2025, providing details on category-wise openings
The Haryana Public Service Commission (HPSC) has announced a recruitment drive for 255 Assistant District Attorney (ADA) posts in Haryana's Prosecution Department. The age limit for applicants is between 21 and 42 years as of September 2, 2025.
To be eligible, candidates must hold a Bachelor of Laws (Professional) degree from a recognized university, have Hindi/Sanskrit up to Matric or Higher Standard, and be enrolled as an Advocate with the Bar Council.
The recruitment process consists of three main stages:
- Screening Test: This is an objective (MCQ) based written exam serving as a preliminary filter. Negative marking applies.
- Subject Knowledge Test: A descriptive exam assessing in-depth legal knowledge relevant to the ADA role.
- Interview: Evaluation of the candidate's communication skills, legal aptitude, and personality.
Candidates must clear the cutoff marks in each stage to move forward to the next, and the final merit list is based on performance in the Subject Knowledge Test and the interview. A document verification and medical examination are scheduled post-interview. The written examination (screening) is scheduled for November 2, 2025.
The salary for the Assistant District Attorney post in Haryana ranges from Rs. 53,100 to Rs. 167,800. The nationality requirements for the HPSC ADA vacancy include citizens of India, subjects of Nepal and Bhutan, Tibetan refugees who came to India before 1962, and people of Indian origin from certain countries who have permanently settled in India.
The HPSC aims to fill these posts across various categories such as general, Scheduled Caste, Backwards Classes, Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), Ex-Servicemen (ESM), Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD), etc.
