Jones, who won 27 caps for the Three Lions and featured at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, expressed pride at graduating. During his career at Manchester United, he won multiple trophies, including the Premier League and Europa League, making a total of 204 Premier League appearances across spells at Blackburn and Manchester United.
Jones is currently working towards completing his UEFA Pro Licence. He found the course to be a good networking opportunity and is looking forward to using his Diploma in Sport Directorship in the future.
The fitness woes that plagued Jones' career, including a 15-month lay-off due to a knee injury which spanned the entire 2021/22 season, did not deter him from pursuing his passion for football. After leaving Manchester United as a free agent in 2023, he worked as a coach for their under-14 and under-18 sides.
Jones ended his playing career due to several years of injury setbacks at the age of 32 last year. However, he remains ambitious about the coaching side of football. He spent time working with Manchester United's academy in recent months, which he found to be a rewarding experience.
