Graduates Embark on Creative Careers at Massachusetts College of Art and Design

This week, a cohort of career certificate students graduated from the Massachusetts College of Art and Design (MassArt), marking the end of their studies in exciting creative fields. The graduation ceremony honored students who completed programs in a range of creative fields, including Graphic Design, Digital Arts, Marketing Design, and more.

During the ceremony, the quote "Do not follow where the path may lead. Go, instead, where there is no path and leave a trail.." - Ralph Waldo Emerson was mentioned, encouraging the graduates to embark on their creative careers and leave a trail where there was no path before.

Among the graduates were Nicol Theron, Maria Landeros Gonzalez, Jessica Jones, Laura Perry, Janette Depamphilis, Janette Hays, Katharine Sickels, Jonathan Zambrano, Madison Vargas, Kyle Heidemann, Nathan Nelson, and Kristen McKelvey, all of whom graduated with Graphic Design Professional Certificates. Janette Depamphilis and Janette Hays also graduated with Digital Arts Professional Certificates, while Ana McElroy-Netto received a Web Design Professional Certificate, and Katharine Sickels earned a Multimedia Arts Professional Certificate.

The Graphic Design Certificate program at MassArt is part-time and designed for people interested in careers in graphic design or incorporating design skills in other professional or personal practices. The program covers areas such as branding, print and digital publication, interactive media, and environmental graphics. It consists of 13 courses totaling 38 credits, which can be completed in about 3 years, with evening classes available. Graduates complete the program with a professional-quality portfolio.

The graduates are now venturing forth into their creative careers, leaving a trail where there was no path before. Whether they choose to work in advertising, marketing, publishing, or another creative field, they are well-equipped with the skills and knowledge they have gained from their studies at MassArt.

For those interested in pursuing similar programs, Noble Desktop offers a Graphic Design Certificate focusing on Adobe Creative Cloud applications, design theory, branding, marketing materials, and portfolio building.
