Governor Praises Elite Vocational Schools, Unveils 2025 Tech Cluster Plan
Governor Gleb Nikitin recently visited three technical schools in Nizhny Novgorod region, marking the 85th anniversary of secondary vocational education. He praised the high quality of education and facilities, comparing them to top universities.
During his visit, Nikitin toured Pervozsky Construction College, where students showcased their practical skills using modern equipment. He also visited the Nizhny Novgorod Radiotechnical College, where students work on electronic devices from development to final product.
The governor highlighted the high demand for certain specialties in these colleges, referring to them as 'elite'. He also mentioned plans for Ardatov Agricultural Technical School to create a profile cluster by 2025, involving the renovation and equipping of 10 labs with new technology.
The region is currently creating a federal technology park for professional education. There are 73 professional educational organizations in the region, with 16 already having established educational-production clusters.
Governor Gleb Nikitin's visit underscored the importance of secondary vocational education in Nizhny Novgorod region. With plans for further development, including a profile cluster at Ardatov Agricultural Technical School, the region continues to invest in and improve its educational infrastructure.
