  • Course 1: 14th-16th October 2025 (with overnight stay option on the 15th)
  • Course 2: 11th-12th November 2025

9:30am - 5:30pm each day (Day 4 ends at 8pm)

Aimed at:

Individuals with a Forest School Level 2 Assistant qualification, eager to lead Forest School programs as Level 3 Forest School Leaders

Course Details:

Our trainers, Forest School Association (FSA) Registered Forest School Trainers, have passed the FSA's stage 1 process and hold high standards for delivering quality training experiences.

Location: Foxburrow Nature Reserve, IP12 1NA

What to Expect:

This outdoor course includes five days of sessions covering Forest School program delivery, learning and development, planning and preparation, practical skills, and the woodland environment.

Coursework Portfolio:

Complete a coursework portfolio within 12 months of the start date, consisting of five units with hand-in dates provided during the course.

Practical Experience:

Plan and deliver a six-week Forest School program during training, with tutor support visits provided

Prerequisites:

  • Participants must be over 21
  • Have recent experience working as a Forest School Assistant
  • Hold a Forest School Level 2 Assistant certificate on the first day of the course
  • Submit proof of a six-session Forest School pilot program during training
  • Possess a current First Aid certificate with outdoor elements (gain additional training from us for £200)

Important Notes:

  • Practicing Forest School leaders must have a 16-hour first aid certificate (recommended)
  • Plan and allow at least 12 months from the course start date for certification
