Financial aid of 20 billion tenge is distributed in Kazakhstan to assist children in attending school.

The "Universal Education" Fund in Kazakhstan has transferred around 20 billion tenge for the new academic year to parents and legal guardians, with the aim of providing assistance for the purchase of school uniforms, footwear, and stationery.

According to Nasymjan Ospanova, Chairperson of the Committee for the Protection of Children's Rights under the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, regions are actively transferring funds to parents' accounts. The funding volume and payment amount for 2025 have been set at 23.1 billion tenge, with a minimum payment amount of 46,228 tenge per child.

To apply for the payment, a simple application is sufficient. Recipients must provide documents confirming the purchase of school supplies. In Astana and Shymkent, funds have been fully disbursed, with all families having received assistance.

By 2025, assistance will cover over 500,000 children, including orphans, children without parental care, low-income families, recipients of targeted social assistance, and children in difficult life situations. As of now, more than 430,000 children have already received support, which is approximately 87% of the total number of recipients.

The payment amount per child is determined on a child-by-child basis, taking into account both the regional budget and the decision of the maslikhat. The funding amount and payment amount for each region are determined by these factors as well.

It's important to note that there are no search results that provide information about the current head of the Committee for the Protection of Children's Rights under the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan or their role in the distribution of payments for the new school year.

This initiative is a significant step towards ensuring equal opportunities for all children in Kazakhstan, regardless of their financial situation, and demonstrates the government's commitment to education and the well-being of its youngest citizens.
