EU Authorities Propose a Directive for Harmonizing Laws on Worker Radiation Safety Across Member States
In the heart of Bergisch Gladbach, exciting plans are underway for a new primary school on Goethestraße in the Herkenrath district. The development plan, BP 4110 - Goethestraße II, is currently in the establishment phase, as outlined in a resolution.
The Urban Development and Planning Committee (SPLA) has taken the lead in this project, tasking the city administration with establishing the development plan. An innovative concept for the school has been presented, which includes two four-story main buildings, a three-part sports hall, and ample schoolyard and sports field areas.
The proposed design is designed to accommodate approximately 1,000 students, and the plan takes into account the adjacent forest area to ensure a harmonious blend of urban and natural elements.
The SPLA has also adopted the Strategic Development Concept (StEK) Gronau, which will serve as a guide for future planning in the district. This comprehensive plan, developed after a rigorous participation process, includes ten measures for development in the coming years.
However, details about the StEK Gronau and the specific development plans for Goethestraße II, Lerbacher Weg Heidkamp (HK4a), or other future projects discussed in the Urban Development and Planning Committee meetings of Bergisch Gladbach in June 2025 or later meetings in 2025 could not be found in our initial search.
For the latest detailed plans and meeting records, we recommend visiting the city planning department's website, exploring the municipal meeting minutes archives, or reaching out to city officials directly.
The SPLA has scheduled further meetings on September 4, 2025, and November 27, 2025, where more information about these developments may be discussed. For those interested, agendas and information about the School Committee can be found in the Council Information System of the city before the meetings.
An overview of the city's planning work can be found on the city's websites, providing valuable insights into the city's development strategies. The StEK Gronau can be viewed online under "Downloads StEK Gronau - City of Bergisch Gladbach".
Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting new development in Bergisch Gladbach!
