Emerging Scholars Display Groundbreaking Studies

The regional competition for Germany's prestigious youth science competition, Jugend forscht, is set to take place at the University of Applied Sciences Pforzheim on February 22 and 23, 2024. This event, themed "Make a Head for Yourself!", aims to promote young talent in the field of science and technology and support them in realizing their innovative projects.

Organised by the municipal enterprise Wirtschaft und Stadtmarketing Pforzheim, the university, and Witzenmann GmbH, the competition is open to students from various schools and institutions in the region. Over 80 students have already registered, ready to present their creative and innovative research projects in the fields of natural sciences, technology, mathematics, and computer science.

The competition is an excellent opportunity for young researchers to showcase their work to an expert jury consisting of representatives from schools, universities, and research institutions. On the first day of the competition, February 22, participants will be evaluated based on their projects' creativity, scientific methodology, presentation skills, and practical relevance.

The winners of the competition have the chance to qualify for the state competition at the end of March. The accompanying public event on February 23 will offer a diverse supporting program with guided tours and interactive activities, allowing visitors to gain insights into the university's study programs and career paths in science and technology.

Numerous school classes from Pforzheim and the region, as well as representatives from politics and business, have registered for the public event.
