The Ministry of Education in Kuwait has made preparations to ensure a welcoming atmosphere for students as they begin the 2025-2026 academic year. The focus is not only on creating a comfortable learning environment but also on promoting safety and citizenship.

The national awareness campaign "Our Students Are a Nation's Treasure" is continuing, emphasizing the importance of developing safety skills such as fire prevention and the proper use of electrical appliances. The campaign also encourages respect for laws, preservation of public property, and fostering good citizenship.

To ensure the safety of students, personnel will be deployed at main roads and intersections to regulate traffic and secure safe student access. This measure is aimed at ensuring a smooth flow of traffic near schools and providing a secure environment for students.

In addition to the preparations for a safe learning environment, the Ministry of Education has also ensured that students have the necessary textbooks. Over 4.1 million textbooks have already been distributed across different regions and educational stages. The remaining textbooks for middle and high school classes in Kuwait will be distributed in the regions of Ahmadi and Farwaniya in the coming days, according to the Ministry's distribution plan.

These textbooks are not only available in physical form but also through the Ministry's online library and students' Teams accounts. The Ministry has also provided full electronic versions of all textbooks to cater to students who prefer digital learning.

The printing and delivery of the remaining quantities of textbooks are being completed daily to guarantee their full availability. This ensures that all students have access to the necessary learning materials as they embark on the new academic year.

As the school year begins, students from first grade across all educational districts started classes on Monday, marking the beginning of the new academic year. Kindergartens are scheduled to open tomorrow. Classes for the remaining elementary, middle, and high school grades also commenced today.

In a bid to ensure a smooth transition into the new academic year, security agencies have stepped up field efforts to ensure smooth traffic flow near schools. This measure is aimed at providing a hassle-free experience for students, parents, and teachers as they navigate their way to school.

As the Ministry of Education continues to monitor the distribution process of textbooks daily, it is clear that they are committed to providing a safe and successful school year for all students in Kuwait.
