In a significant move for Nigeria's creative industry, Tekira Africa, a solution provider founded by renowned Nigerian photographer and visual storyteller Bayo Omoboriowo, has officially launched in Abuja. This innovative platform is poised to become a game-changer, reshaping Africa's creative landscape.

Tekira Africa is designed to be a starting point for reimagining an African ecosystem where education, craftsmanship, and creative enterprise are inseparable pillars of development. Building on proven models like MADhouse by Tekira, which incubates emerging creatives, Tekira Africa aims to create a vibrant, sustainable, and culturally rich creative industry.

The Ministry of Art, Culture, Tourism, and Creative Economy, led by Minister Hannatu Musawa, has pledged its support for Tekira Africa. The ministry is committed to scaling access to creative residencies, training hubs, and enterprise support, and to championing artisans, ensuring their work is both culturally celebrated and economically sustainable. The Ministries of Art, Culture, Tourism, and Women Affairs have also pledged to collaborate with Tekira Africa in this endeavour.

Meanwhile, the Africa International Film Festival (AIFF), Nigeria's foremost film festival, is seeking support from the Federal Government. As the country prepares to host the first Commonwealth games in 2030, the creative industry is set to play a significant role in showcasing Nigeria's culture and talent to the world.

In other news, the Minister of Art, Culture, Tourism, and Creative Economy has called for deeper collaboration across sectors to ensure such initiatives thrive and scale effectively. This call comes as the emergency rule has been lifted, with Fubara returning to office on September 17, 2025.

Elsewhere, Tinubu is scheduled to visit Buhari's widow in Kaduna on Friday.

Perhaps the most exciting news, however, is the announcement that the Air Peace MRO facility is expected to create 50,000 jobs. This development is set to significantly boost Nigeria's economy and employment sector.

With Tekira Africa's launch, Nigeria's creative industry is set for a transformative period, promising to reshape Africa's creative landscape and provide employment opportunities for thousands. The future looks bright for Nigeria's creative sector.
