Astaufest-2025 Brings Global Culinary Talent to Astana

The VI International Gastronomic Festival Astaufest-2025 is currently underway in Astana. This annual event, held in honour of International Chef's Day, brings together top culinary professionals and students from various educational institutions, aiming to internationalize technical and professional education and preserve culinary cultural traditions.

Over 230 students and teachers from more than 45 educational institutions are participating in Astaufest-2025. The festival has attracted top chefs, pastry chefs, and bartenders from different countries, providing an opportunity for competitive growth and exchange of ideas. Alla Korol, Deputy Director at the College of Public Catering and Service, emphasizes the festival's role in preserving culinary heritage.

The event is part of the Year of Labor Professions and is seen by Aset Mukhambetov, Director of the Department of Technical and Professional Education, as a chance to prepare competitive specialists and introduce modern standards. The festival plans to establish a Confectionery Academy at the college, further enhancing educational opportunities. Thirteen international experts are evaluating participants' professional skills, with the second day featuring final tests, winner announcements, and culinary innovations.
