Annually recognizing academic excellence, Park University honors outstanding students during the Honors Convocation for the academic year 2024-25.
Park University recently celebrated its annual Honours Convocation for the 2024-25 academic year, recognising several exceptional students and faculty members for their contributions to the university community. Among the honourees were two Outstanding Parkites, Raeven Brownell and Gabrielle de Oliveira Campos Sandins.
Tammy Good, D.B.A., an adjunct instructor of construction management from Pompano Beach, Florida, received the Provost's Award for Teaching Excellence. Meanwhile, Camille Cook, director of library services and first-year experience, and assistant professor of library instruction and outreach from Lawrence, Kansas, received the Excellence in Academic Advising Award. J. Mark Noe, Ph.D., professor of communication arts and director of the Master of Arts degree in communication and leadership program, Parkville, Missouri, received the J.L. Zwingle Award.
Lauren Buck, a junior graphic design major from Kansas City, Kansas, who attended Sumner Academy of Arts and Science, received the Louisa Davidson Hinde / Carolyn Hinde Zarkaryan Memorial Award. Jeffery Kimmons, Ph.D., associate professor of biology from Kansas City, Missouri, received the Distinguished Faculty Scholar Award, which was established by Manuchair Ebadi, Ph.D., a 1960 Park graduate, in honour of Delta Gier, Ph.D. Danny Burger, a senior communication studies major from Tunas, Missouri, who attended Rosedale Christian Academy, Winchester, Virginia, also received the Louisa Davidson Hinde / Carolyn Hinde Zarkaryan Memorial Award.
