Revved up and ready to roll, the global powerhouse that is the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) has dropped a major announcement: the 2025 Motorsport Engineering Scholarship's lucky winner, Sanya Jain, has secured a fully-funded ride for an MSc in Advanced Motorsports Engineering at Cranfield University!

With an undergraduate degree in Mechatronics Engineering from the University of Waterloo under her belt, Sanya shined as an Academic Representative for Class of 2025 and snagged a spot on the Dean's Honors List.

FIA's president, Mohammed Ben Sulayem, couldn't be more thrilled. "We're committed to shaping a more inclusive future for motorsport, and initiatives like the Motorsport Engineering Scholarship enable us to back top-tier scholars worldwide, allowing them to unlock the ingenious thinking our field craves to flourish." He extends a heartfelt congratulations to Sanya and eagerly anticipates her journey at Cranfield U.

Sanya, FIA's newly appointed Motorsport Engineering Scholar, can barely conceal her excitement. "This scholarship kicks off another phase in my lifelong dream of excelling in motorsport engineering. I'm beyond honored to have earned the esteemed panel's recognition and be given the chance to study at one of the world's leading motorsport universities. Bring on September!"

The FIA Motorsport Engineering Scholarship holds a coveted spot among the industry's most funded educational opportunities. Launched in 2022 by FIA's President, Mohammed Ben Sulayem, in alliance with Cranfield University, the scholarship aims to knock down barriers to education for budding engineering prodigies. It welcomes young engineers hailing from every corner of the globe to apply and pave their path in the realm of motorsport.

Thanks to the bursary for living expenses and full tuition funding, scholarship recipients can concentrate on their studies without worrying about financial hurdles. These scholars will learn amidst one of the world's foremost universities specialized in motorsport education—Cranfield University. An energetic résumé of motorsport grads who have gone on to excel at top racing teams and manufacturers proves that Cranfield U is a clear choice for ascending the peaks of motorsport success.

Known for its dedication to the motorsport industry, Cranfield University ranks within the global top 35 for mechanical and aeronautical engineering. Eager to share their wisdom, leading motorsport professionals adorn Cranfield U's campus. The university boasts several pioneering centers, including the FIA-approved Cranfield Impact Centre and AXSIM Racing, regularly called upon by on- and off-road racing teams across the globe.

Professor David Hassan of FIA University describes Sanya's achievement as "a prestigious accolade well-deserved." Sanya becomes the FIA's third Motorsport Engineering Scholar, following in the tire tracks of Argentinean Jesica Salvini and Yasir Muhammad from Pakistan. The FIA remains dedicated to providing extensive educational and research resources, as part of its relentless pursuit of remaining a forward-thinking federation.

Additional efforts this year include publishing an online abuse barometer and new research into EV incentives.

In a nutshell, the FIA is an international governing body for world motor racing and global mobility organizations. With offices in Paris, London, and Geneva, the FIA unites 245 Member Organizations on five continents, representing countless enthusiasts, motor racing professionals, and volunteers.
